Senior Tax Accountant

This is a full-time position with the opportunity for advancement within the firm for the right fit. The position offers full benefits including medical, dental, 401k, flexible spending, gym reimbursement, PTO.

• Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary returns
• Preparation of work papers and spreadsheets
• Assist with tax planning and special projects
• Review of and response to correspondence from the IRS or other governmental agencies
• Review, adjust, and closing financial reporting
• Payroll, sales, and property tax filings

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2-6 plus years of accounting and/or tax compliance experience, preferably within a corporate tax, accounting or finance environment or a combination of experience within a corporate tax environment and a public accounting firm
• Must have exceptional analytical skills
• Work well under pressure, ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Detail oriented, ability to plan, extremely organized, complete work with minimal supervision
• Experience conducting research, interpreting, and documenting resolutions
• Knowledge of sales and use tax preparation, laws, use tax accrual, and research a plus
• High energy and highly motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time, in an efficient manner
• Ability to solve problems and implement process improvements
• Independent thinker, self-starter and proficient problem solving skills
• Ability to understand and analyze complex issues
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers and store staff
• Software proficiency in income tax preparation (Prosystem fx), income tax planning (BNA), tax research (RIA),
• Microsoft Office
• Proficient in QuickBooks
